A wetland wonder: our very own Robin Annschild, rewilding artist!

We are so pleased to see this excellent article in The Tyee that profiles our very own Robin Annschild (of course she's not actually 'ours' -- but we feel such a strong kinship, Robin was the architect of the restoration of the Snk'mip Marsh Sanctuary and spent several successive summers living and working here with us).

Robin is shown with machine operators Stuart and Mike. They are working on digging the basin for a new wetland pond.

Click here (or below) to read this comprehensive article that explains wetland restoration principles and Robin's particular philosophy and approach.  Wetlands are prime wildlife habitats, store carbon and mitigate flooding. Restoring them builds resilience against climate change.  We say:  Go, Robin, go!
